compete eventually guys hard honest played positive starting stay team turn ways
We played hard (Saturday). Eventually, we're going to find ways to win. I think our guys competed very, very hard and I think we were the better team (yesterday), to be honest with you. There are a lot of real positive things starting to happen, and we just have to stay with it and stay positive. If we compete like this, we'll eventually turn this thing around.
behind early good hockey played until whatever
We don't play good hockey until we get behind for whatever reason. If we'd played like that early in games, we wouldn't get into trouble.
deal four good great half hard learning losses played pride third trouble work year
It's like 'Groundhog Day' half the time. We can take away that we showed a great deal of pride in the third and played hard and battled, but we did the same things that have been getting us in trouble all year to get us down four goals. We haven't been very good at learning from our mistakes, from our losses and even from our wins, and that's something we have work on.
decent focused forward game lose move played positives stay sure
We played a pretty decent game and to lose like that at the end is tough. But we got a point. Look at the positives and make sure we stay focused on the right things and move forward from this.
desperate played toronto
They played better than us. Toronto was much better than us. ... We weren't as desperate as them.
continue five focused games positive stay sure work
We have to continue to play like that. Five on five we were still a better team. We just have to make sure we stay positive and stay focused and work on the things that are actually costing us games right now.
chance crack exciting raise
It was very exciting for us. I get one more crack at it. That's what we play for. I just wanted a chance to get back there and raise it one more time.
kid scary
It would have been 12-0, if not for him. The kid is incredible. He's scary good.
crazy exciting fortunate hockey season tickets win
(Crosby's arrival) will really revitalize hockey in Pittsburgh, back to when I was fortunate enough to win back in '91. It's pretty awesome. We've got our season tickets going crazy ... it's been pretty exciting around here.
honestly punch reach
Dumb. I honestly don't know if I could reach him, if I even wanted to punch him.
great hoping obviously ray smart talent
Ray is a very smart player. Obviously he's got great talent, and we're hoping he's able to come back and make a difference.
couple focused frustrated games goes next older responsibility saw stays
(Yesterday) was really the first day I saw him frustrated in practice. We'll see how it goes the next couple games and if need be, the older guys, that's part of our responsibility to see that he stays focused on the right things.
energy excitement
We have to play better. We're at home. We should have a lot more energy. There was no enthusiasm, there was no excitement to play.
good learn ourselves start
We have to learn from this, not just get excited. We have to learn from this and start something where we at least feel good about ourselves going into the (Olympic) break.
