I was trying. I went out there and gave it everything.
I just want to start the year off strong and just enjoy myself out there,
It was hard to enjoy the tennis (last year) and to be quite honest I didn't. I just wanted the year to end and that's why I took two months off.
I'm feeling good, looking forward (the opening match). Definitely, I can get through it.
I'm definitely going to hold that trophy up before I retire, that's for sure
I'm definitely confident. I will go out and give it my all. It's all I can ask of myself and I have another couple of days to get ready.
I'm definitely confident. I will go out and give it my all.
I'm just concentrating on that first match. That's the only thing I've got my mind on.
I'm very happy, a win is a win. The first match is always tough. It's just good to get back out on the court and get that monkey off my shoulders.
Even off my first serves, he was hitting really deep at my feet. He kept the pressure up the whole time -- I was running behind the whole time,
It was a long day, but it ended up well so I'm happy. The hard work is paying off. I've just got to be patient and keep working at it.
It was a little ugly, but a win's a win,
I feel like I've been in this sort of situation before, not ranking-wise, but coming back from surgeries where it's been a long way back. This is just another thing where I'm going to have to work harder. I'm working hard. I'm just going to keep working hard and sooner or later it's going to pay off.
Obviously, I'll do whatever it takes to get back,
