fifth gets great guy nobody
Nobody gets skipped here. Our fifth guy in Oakland had it tough. He didn't know when he was pitching. He didn't know how to go about things. It's great how we've had it going this year.
games guys love seven sure throw
Seven games into the season. Sure, it's not what you expect, but it's seven games into the season. I'm sure nobody's worried. I love our bullpen. I love the way those guys throw and I love the way they go about it. I think they're going to be just fine.
difference guys hit league national rest seven stigma strike swing zone
I don't see that the strike zone as different. I don't see that there's any stigma of American or National League as a player. The only real difference I see is that, in the American League, seven guys in the lineup will swing for homers. In the National, it's only about four. The rest of them will hit the other way or do whatever.
again chance good happening
There's probably not a good chance of that happening again this year.
everybody gets knock looks lying minute second
Everybody would be lying if for one minute - one second - you didn't think, 'All right, it looks like we're going home,' ... But all of a sudden, (David) Eckstein gets a knock ...
last obviously pitching says seems sudden together
To me, it seems like the same lineup as last year. But they're obviously pitching a lot better. When you put together some pitching and all of a sudden get a little more confidence, I think it says a lot for a team.
supposed
This isn't how the story was supposed to end,
adrenaline bother starts
Once the inning starts there's so much adrenaline it didn't bother me much,
compared far good percent pick quite
Compared to what it was yesterday, it's 100 percent better, but it's still not good enough. I still can't quite look far enough to pick up the catcher.
cent compared far good per pick quite
Compared to what it was yesterday, it's 100 per cent better, but it's still not good enough. I still can't quite look far enough to pick up the catcher.
arms extension full hurts move side tilt
I can get full extension in my arms and move it from side to side. It only hurts when I tilt it back and look up. I'll have to see how it feel tomorrow.
drive field finishing line means ready start worrying
I can field my position. If I start worrying about being ready for a line drive too soon, that means I'm not finishing my pitches, and I've got to be able to do that first.
good knows nobody obviously
Obviously he did a good job. But to say that it was him that did this, no... nobody knows that.
pitchers
There's a lot of pitchers who've got it. That's an out pitch for them. It's a big pitch.
