I was glad to be coming home. It was more rugged than usual storm duty. We usually stay in a motel, but the first two nights, we slept on the floor in the National Guard Armory. Then they got us some air mattresses, and that was better.

By 2001, the state-revenue picture looked somewhat cloudy, and putting food on the table for kids on state assistance was more important than implementing ERP. But the revenue picture has improved, and ERP is now back on the table.
