If, in fact, South Carolina had won, my hope would have been that the last team on the board, regardless of conference, would have been the one eliminated, not a team from our league. I don't know that anybody knows the answer to that question. I don't think it's important at this point in time.

It just legitimizes our conference. We always want to bark about how good our league is, yet at some point you have to back it up. I think our whole league did great in the tournament.

This particular team has made me very proud of them. The reason is, they certainly could have accepted the fact that losing a great player, a proven player for us, a guy that we all knew could get baskets in key points in the game. Lose that guy and the easiest thing to do is build in excuses.

They made a believer out of me. They have so many different weapons to defend that can attack you. Every team you play at this point is pretty good. But they are really good.

The last four games, Darrel Mitchell has averaged about 26 or 27 points a game (actually 24.5), and we felt like against a zone he would find too many holes and get loose. We went to the zone once in the first half and he buried a 3 on us. I just felt like with Darrel Mitchell, right now, at the level he's been playing, we just needed to be body to body with him for 40 minutes.

Elizabeth and I are going to pledge, personally, one dollar for every fan in attendance. I'm hoping to write a check for $10,000 that night. We are encouraging others to either match that gift or just give whatever they can. Maybe it's 50 cents or a quarter for everybody in attendance. Hopefully that can be something that will motivate others to do the same thing.

First of all it's going to be a tremendous challenge. They are ranked third in the RPI and eighth in the AP. They are very underrated and will pose problems for us. On the other hand, our guys are very excited about having the chance to upset a team that is highly ranked.
