ball catch guys rhythm trying
We're two guys without any rhythm trying to catch the ball and do what we can.
against beat guy rookie
For a rookie to come into Fenway Park, against that lineup, and beat a guy like Curt Schilling, that's pretty impressive.
bunch clubhouse comparable good great guys playing reason row stretch turn won
It's pretty amazing. This stretch is comparable to when we won 20 in a row (in 2002). It's just a great bunch of guys in this clubhouse who really like playing together. There's such good chemistry, and that's probably part of the reason we've been able to turn it around.
guys lead means second
It's very nice, ... Joe's been unbelievable the whole second half. Getting these guys a lead means a lot.
coming guys last second somebody spring time ton training year
Any time somebody has a first year with a team, you have spring training but the second year coming back you're more comfortable with the guys. We didn't have a ton of turnover. We have some new guys but we pretty much have the same guys as last year.
anybody ball defensive definitely gets guys knows pick pitchers seven smart walk
He's definitely not going to walk anybody and he knows what he's doing. It was the same old stuff. He gets you to get yourself out. He's smart out there. He makes you put the ball in play where seven guys are there to pick it up. As a defensive player, you like pitchers like that.
against guy seen time tough
If you don't make adjustments against Kenny, he'll keep doing the same thing to you. We've seen him enough that we should be able to make those adjustments, but sometimes it's tough the first time you see a guy each year.
bench coming guys rather somewhere valuable
He's so valuable coming off the bench. Sometimes you need guys off the bench rather than in the lineup every day. We have a lot of infielders here. He could probably play every day somewhere else.
either figure genius guy matter stay swinging team time worst
If I could figure this team out, I would be a genius. We're all either swinging it well at the same time or we're all not. Hopefully, we'll stay like this for a while. It doesn't matter who is pitching. You could have Cy Young out there or the worst guy in the league, it doesn't matter.
bobby great guys hurt last stepped year
He's very valuable. When I got hurt he stepped in and did a great job. Last year when Bobby got hurt he did a great job. You have to have guys like that on the team.
amazing balls caught fly gets guys happen mark throws
He's amazing out there, and not just because he throws guys out. Before he got here, there were a lot of fly balls that, when they went over my head, I'd think they should be caught and they weren't. That doesn't happen anymore. Mark gets to everything .
control takes
Even as a young guy, he takes control. That's his infield out there, and that's the way it should be.
Same old stuff. He makes you get yourself out.
both change guess knows
Really? Can that even happen? Wow. Obviously, that's surprising, but it's nice, it's great. I think everyone is comfortable with Macha, everyone knows what to expect. I guess (Macha and Beane) both had a change of heart.
