I've never known anyone that could do a ballad that slowly and keep it musical, keep it happening.

Everybody seems to think Madeleine sounds like Billie Holiday, ... I think that's OK, but it's really not all that important an observation. She sounds a little bit like Billie to me, but that's not anything to make a big deal about it.
