We could have given in there and quit. For a long time, we couldn't find our rhythm, but we stayed patient and fought back.

Erin played a heck of a game and stepped up when we needed her. We just couldn't get enough going on offense as a team , though.

Even Johnson doesn't defend like that. They're just so quick and they can defend off the dribble so well. They used their speed and got in our faces.

(East Hall) is so strong it's hard to contain them. But I thought we did a much better job in the second half.

We did a nice job of holding down their two guards out front but then we didn't execute very well in the fourth quarter and they took over the game. We can't allow that to happen again. It's going to be a tough assignment but this is the same road that Johnson took to the Final Four last year and we would like to duplicate that.

I still say we're two of the six teams that can win state. And we're going to take this and try to learn from it.

She's so versatile. She plays defense, rebounds, she can play three different positions, and she's a vocal leader and role model.

She wanted to switch, because she could see the job wasn't getting done there.

She's done that time and again and we really needed her leadership in the second half. That's why she's a great player.
broke due game learned left missed shoot
She's never missed a game due to injury. When she was a sophomore, she broke her (right) wrist. So she just learned how to shoot with her left hand.
bruise deep knee
She has a deep knee bruise and we'll see how she is (Monday).
best definitely games great player plays
She's a great player and a great leader. It was gutsy of her to come back and do what she did. She always plays big in the big games but this definitely was one of her best performances ever.
