couple finished game good guys history last lose lost playing reckon says teams time undefeated
We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.
associated coaching finished fourth game last missouri played quarters since team
One of the things we like so much about the team right now is that since the Missouri game last year, this team has finished better. We've played in the fourth quarters better than any team I have been associated with in my coaching career.
best chris class country finished life passing people ranked recruiting starts takes won
I would say if you're ranked No. 1, you better be really good, because it takes on a life of its own. Everyone complained that we had the best recruiting class in country but we only won 10 games. I said, 'Yeah, I know, we were terrible.' Chris Simms finished as the school's all-time passing leader, Cory Redding starts for Detroit, and some people think that class wasn't a success.
bottom chance doubt finish good great harder high polls rated rather since start teams top win wish year
If you're good enough to finish where you want to, and that's to win all your games, you'd rather start high because it's a lot harder now to come from the bottom to the top than it used to be. If you're out of the top 10 and some other teams have good seasons, you can have a great year like Auburn did and not have a chance to win it all. So there's no doubt that it's more important. I wish we started polls in October. Since we do not, I'd rather be rated high.
hearts hopefully ready
I know what they're going through. Our hearts are with them. Hopefully they can get through it and get ready to play football.
admired class coaches knew stood taught win
I knew him when I was a young coach. I admired him for what he stood for. He taught coaches how to win championships with class and dignity.
coach longer week
I like Pete, so that makes this week easier. If you don't like the other coach, it's a longer week.
average focused guys himself proud ready staying team tuesday
I'm proud of Vince for getting the team up and ready and for being focused himself and for staying focused. After I got on the guys on Tuesday for an average practice, he told me not to worry. He was right.
program proud
It's something that we as a program we are very proud of.
care country fine flying line outside reach spend state texas time
It's something that is a very fine line that you take care of the state of Texas and still being able to reach outside your state some. You do not want to spend all your time flying around the country getting one out of five, when you can get most of what you want from the state of Texas.
good hang night
Everybody's got scholarships and everybody's got good players. If it's a night where it's not working well, you better hang on and you better make some plays,
best came complete dominated guys halves played playing three today took
The best thing about today was that we played a more complete game. We've been playing halves or three quarters, but today we came out and dominated for three quarters, and then our other guys took over and we were still able to make plays.
hope teams undefeated
The (BCS has) got to hope there's not more than two undefeated teams at the end or they've (messed) up again, very honestly, ... That's what they've got to hope.
college football game good last michigan texas
That has to be as good a college football game as there could be. Texas and Michigan should come down to the last two seconds.
