I've got to make a lot of strides. We've got a good team. I knew when I got drafted that we were going to have good players. When coach needs me, I'm sure he'll call on me.

We just lost our intensity. The whole game, we played great defense, trying to slow them down and keep them in front of me. We just slipped up on a couple of plays at the end.

We just lost our intensity in the fourth quarter. It was our fault, no excuses. We can't let the little things bother us, and that's what happened tonight. We did a good job of keeping them in front of us the first half, but we just didn't play good enough defense in the fourth quarter.

On this team, we're used to having Tracy and Yao there to make shots at the end. We're here for a reason, we're here because we know how to make shots. It's all about doing it when it comes down to it.

It felt good because we were doing it on both ends. I think that was the key. We guarded and did the right things on offense, like getting the ball to Yao.

I'm so excited that I don't even think about being tired. I mean, you get on the court and you're like, 'OK, I have to guard Steve Nash tonight.' How can you be tired going into that?

We know that we're better than that. We play hard and everybody wants it so bad, our players, coaches, and everybody. We try hard in practice and everything, but it just comes out the same. The same mistakes we always make.

We keep having unfortunate things happen to us with injuries and everything, but we're just trying to stick with it and keep our heads high and play as hard as we can. We don't have a lot to work with, so effort is going to have a lot to do with us winning. We have to play as hard as we can so we can get some wins.

It's not just that play, in situations like that when Yao is doubled, he has confidence to get it out to us and we have confidence to knock it down.

It was a great night. It's all about the fans, especially here in Houston. You know you have to give them something to cheer for.

Everybody wants to win. I don't think anyone went out there thinking they were going to lose. They just proved that they're a year ahead of us. During the season, you're focusing hard and competing hard. Here, you're competing, but you're looking to have a little fun, too.

It's fun coming back here as a pro. It's a place that I've been coming to watch pro games all my life, and now I get to play in one. It's exciting.
