atmosphere buildings college far loudest normal
The atmosphere in the buildings was a little different than the Big East. The atmosphere is not a normal college gym. When we went to Maryland, it was by far the loudest building we've ever been in.

It was just habit. You used to kind of look forward to going to New York.

The NCAA Tournament is about a Cinderella story. People look forward to the underdog coming in and winning. Fortunately for us, we didn't let it happen. We put ourselves in a real bad situation, but I think our guys kept their composure.

In a tournament like this, you've got to get something in your system.

I'm not sure if we were able to find a second gear, but everyone understood that these could have been our last few minutes, and we had to build on whatever we had left. We came back out in overtime and pressured the ball and got some turnovers, and that helped us get our energy back. There wasn't enough time to get tired. If you lose, you go home.

We tend to play better in a road-type atmosphere for some reason. I don't know. We knew that most of the North Carolina schools are within a good radius of this building, so we knew we weren't going to have a lot of fan support.

This is how we win every game. We never blow anybody out. We're used to it.

But as newcomers, we have felt like the guys who crashed the party a little bit. That's how they look at us, as those boys from New England.

Nobody in this building was really rooting for us. I think guys used that for motivation.

We definitely have to look at Pacific first and understand that they are a very dangerous team that has had success in this tournament.
