We've had a great case of ham and egg this year. When the goaltending has given up three or four we've scored the right number to win a game, and when we haven't been able to score too much our goaltenders have kept them down to one or two.

He's built for the game. He's got good tools at the back end and he's a very good defender. We've never given him a set role. He began to play well on the power play and he gained a lot of confidence from that. That confidence came from him knowing that he would be in the lineup night after night.

I really think with more ice time you'll see bigger things. It has been that way when he's been given a larger role, and you've got to give him credit for staying ready. It's not easy being out of the lineup.
