concern fortunate injury last six weeks
I've been really fortunate in the last six weeks that I haven't had an injury that has hampered my preparation. It's been a concern in the past.
eight expect seven weeks wrong
It would be wrong of me to expect I can come back after seven or eight weeks and be perfect,
beginning compete consistent forward game good looking matches obviously playing predicted trying week win
I wouldn't have necessarily predicted that at the beginning of the week, ... I didn't know how my game would be. Obviously I am a consistent performer, but the way everything has kind of panned out it's been a good week for me, just trying to win matches and trying to be out there and win and compete when I don't feel like I am playing my best, and looking forward to another opportunity.
best feels fine played scared since weeks
My back is good. I was scared going out on the court. But it feels fine right now. It's been 7-to-8 weeks since I played a match. I didn't play my best but I won.
easy expected felt few four handled last matches played row sets straight tough weeks win won
It's tough sometimes to play four weeks in a row and still to come out on top, ... I've played a lot of matches the last few weeks and I felt this whole week was a success. I won in straight sets every match, and it's not always easy to win when you're expected to win. I felt I handled that very well this week.
coming last nice quicker week
After coming off a long week like last week, it was nice just to have a quicker match.
good thank week
I want to thank myself for having such a good week here.
age europe family home husband stage three weeks
I'm better off at home with my family and my husband than being in Europe for three weeks at this age and at this stage of my career,
enjoy husband marriage playing priority single three weeks willing
I'm not playing for the ranking or I would play every single tournament. I play because I enjoy it and want to do more but my husband and marriage is my priority and being away for three weeks is not something I'm willing to do right now.
happy healthy matches obviously positive ready rust test tournament week win
I'm really happy that I was able to come here and get through these matches and still feel healthy and ready to go to New York, ... This was a big test for my back. I think it was real important just to play some matches and get the rust out of my game. Obviously to win this tournament is a bonus. Overall, the week was nothing but a positive for me.
europe week ends
I don't enjoy being in Europe for weeks on end, so I just skip it.
good mess opponent people seen situations
I've seen people come back from these situations before and she's a good opponent and I didn't want to mess around.
bit demanding great loss today toughest worn
I still feel a little worn down, ... It was a great but demanding two weeks. I started to feel a bit better today but getting over a loss like that is probably the toughest thing you have to do.
definitely gets older playing tougher
I started playing tournaments at 15 and I'm 29 now. It definitely gets a lot tougher as you get older and older.
