They really put up with a lot and I think they're just at the end of their rope right now,
Regardless of the legal basis of the decision this is not a just decision,
I think of the Air Guard as our first line of defense in protecting the people of the state,
I think they are all possibilities. I can't gauge their likelihood right now because the law hasn't gone into effect yet, ... I think it has to go into effect on Sept. 1 and it has to remain in effect so we can see what those impacts are.
The aloha spirit and the concept of ohana are not mere words to us, they mean that we care for other each including those we don't know.
I hope the Legislature is right about this and I'm wrong, because I do want prices to come down, ... Nobody knows what the impact is going to be, so we're going to just have to wait and let this play out.
That's a ridiculous claim and a ridiculous argument,
As you know cats don't do as well in public settings like this as dogs do,
This is an exciting project. Even though I can't afford one of these units, I can still appreciate the beauty that you're putting into this project.
The building has settled to a point now where it can't be jacked up anymore, so the urgency to raise the funds and to get the construction underway is immense right now,
So that instead of the partnership being what Washington says it is, it's more open to the states to find their own path, and that's very attractive to the governors, because, oftentimes, that results in a savings of money just because we get to do it in our own way.
These bullets will not stop, and this decision was made in such a narrow sense and on such a technical (legal) basis that it does not preclude the next group from coming forward on another (legal) basis and challenging the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands again.
So the urgency to raise the funds and get the construction under way is immense right now,
we dodged a legal bullet, and this bullet is aimed at the heart of the programs that benefit the Hawaiian people and thereby bring benefits to the state of Hawaii.
