We've been fighting for the last couple of games to keep these guys focused. We're trying to get them to understand that when you're playing against a team fighting for their playoff lives, they're going to give it everything they've got.

I don't think we were intimidated. Early on in the game we were just trying to hurry the ball and push the ball to make them run, but I don't think intimidation was a factor.

If we can pick up these two (TSU tonight and Prairie View A&M on Monday) at home, we'll be in much better shape. We've got a lot of the better teams in the conference coming to our place in the second half. We've played well at home. We need to win these games this weekend and build on them.

We just weren't mentally prepared. I think the guys just assumed that teams at the bottom (of the conference) would lay down for us.

I told the guys to just play good defense and no make (Riley-Smith) put it on the floor and work for a shot. They did that. I'm proud of these guys. I've been preaching to these guys about finishing off games. We finished one off tonight.

The offensive line is just amazing. They made the holes for me and I was able to get through them.

It was amazing. All I wanted was to help (the seniors) beat Mac. It's a great feeling.

We used our power game when we had too. We got right down there and played the aggressors.

We did what we wanted to do. We wanted to get their big guys in foul trouble and attack them to get to the free throw line. We accomplished that goal, but we just couldn't make a free throw tonight. We just didn't shoot the ball well.

We played with intensity tonight and that's what we've been missing. We've been playing so lackadaisical the last few ball games and we really needed to get past that. This was a good win for us tonight.
