bit focus frame half intensity kids lack lose lost minutes recover second time win
That was a lack of focus. I've always told the kids that the first 10 minutes of the second half is when you win and lose ballgames. We lost a little bit of intensity and focus in that time frame and we weren't able to recover from it.
against ball desire effort held low point second shooting shot striving third
It comes down to effort and desire. Our effort was there against Oakland. We held them to a very low shooting percentage, but we just didn't go get the ball when the shot went up. That second and third effort is what we're striving to get back at this point and time.
ball came difference floor half kept kids maintained minutes pressure pushing second
I always tell our kids that the first 10 minutes of the second half is the difference in the ballgame. We came down and maintained pressure defensively and offensively. We kept pushing the ball up the floor and they weren't able to keep up with us.
along care losses opportunity pop three win
I've said all along that three losses will win the Mid-Con. I think losses will pop up for some other teams. We just want to take care of us and we have every opportunity to do that.
break everybody illinois talks western
Everybody talks about how Western Illinois has never been there. It's something that we've wanted to do, but we don't think it'll make or break our program.
ball basketball care continue defense folks good night offense ready rebound scoring winning
We have to ready every night to play defense and rebound the basketball, the offense will take care of itself. And that's what we did. We got good scoring out of a lot of folks and that's what winning us ball games. That has to continue down the road.

Nobody really knew where she was going to be picked. I heard people say that after the first two picks, anything was possible.

She does not play like a freshman. She had absolutely no jitters and she never ceases to amaze me.
basketball college health impress job next responsibility somewhat
She is going there to impress an employer. As a professional basketball player, your responsibility is your body, your health and your play. It is somewhat of a job in college when you're on scholarship but even more so at the next level.
excited fans great happy illinois stay
We're excited and happy that we are in the post-season. It's great that we will get to stay in Illinois so our fans will be able to come see the game.
effort game good great nice offensive played sarah today
We got a lot of good offensive effort from a lot of different people. Sarah played a great game today ... offensively, defensively, doing some nice things. This is the way that we feel like she's going to be able to play all of the time.
afford ball control few tempo turn
When you out-rebound teams, you can afford to turn the ball over a few more times because you control the tempo of the game.
close february finding games happy night teams time tough ways year
This time of year you're just not going to close out opponents. This is February and it is a tough month. Teams are getting better; teams know how to take things away from you, just like we know how to take things away from people. Games night in and night out are going to be like this. I'm happy because we're still finding ways to win.
games help hostile people prepare push road
We have been able to push down people who have come back at us. We need to have games like that to prepare us for down the road when we go back to Oakland and help us when we get into hostile situations.
