adversity completing degree great hard keeps plays program second talented
He's a talented kid. He personifies what our program is all about. He's tough. He plays hard. He got his degree in 31/2 years. He's completing a second major. Great kid. He keeps us going through the kind of adversity we've had.
close defensive half missed played
We missed some opportunities in the first half to close the gap, but I thought we played as well on the defensive end as we can play.
answer bell cut eight hard kept kids playing proud stayed stuck time
We got stuck there (at eight points). We weren't playing bad. But they would answer the bell every time we'd make a play. It kept us at that deficit. It was hard to cut into it. But the kids stayed with it. They did to their credit. I'm proud of them.
absolutely coaching focused momentum team trying
I've put absolutely no thought into it. I've just focused on coaching this team and that's all I'm focused on trying to get some momentum into this team going into the tournament.
changes expect form four games known needed shape understand upset win
I've pretty much known that you can't win four games and expect to keep your job. You have to win. I understand that. ... We made changes I thought we needed to make. In no way, shape or form am I upset or mad. ... Change is inevitable.
almost america anybody coach discipline execute playing skilled teams time year
I've been playing Coach Morrill for a long time now. His teams are skilled and very discipline and they execute almost as well as anybody in America year in and year out.
basketball country extremely finishes good guy high people talk valuable
People talk about his improvement, but he was good when he got there. He has a high basketball I.Q. I don't think there's a better guy in the country that finishes around the hoop. He's extremely valuable to (Utah State's) offense.
basketball church gods needs playing praying prior spend time
You have to spend a lot of time at church prior to playing in the Spectrum. There's a lot of praying that needs to take place, and the basketball gods have to be with you.
few wish
I wish we'd made a few more baskets. Other than that, we don't have any regrets.
against america biggest feels gone half job kids league practice showing special team win written
It feels great. Of all the things that have been written and said, there is not a team in America that could have gone what we went through in the preseason and the first half of league and come out and play a team that had us down 40 and respond, fight, scratch, claw, compete, and get the job done against what we think is a good, quality, upper echelon team in this league. That's why it's the biggest win I've been a part of. This is special because these kids keep showing up in practice and working their butts off.
certainly coached draft pick react rebounds stop
I think Millsap's a first-round draft pick in my opinion. I've coached them before. I know what they look like. I know how they walk. I know how they react and he's certainly that. There's nothing you can do to stop him from getting 15 to 18 rebounds a night.
bit none tried
We've tried a little bit of everything. None of it worked. I don't know what we're going to do.
cost sluggish
We were sluggish in the first half. And it really cost us.
changed enjoyed fond memories tenure
I enjoyed my tenure here. I have nothing but fond memories about what we set out to do and the things we changed in the program.
