biggest difference offensive seemed type
We never seemed to get into any type of offensive rhythm. I think that made the biggest difference in the game.
beat boards couple credit game last order played pounding prepared scheme seemed team time win within
Getting beat on the boards seemed to be a very significant part of this game. You have to give them a lot of credit for pounding the glass. It seemed like every time we've played them the last couple of years, they've been much better prepared on the boards than we have. We got beat by a team that did the things they need to do within their scheme in order to win the game tonight.
bounce good seemed
The good thing about this team, though, is we've always seemed to bounce back when we've had a setback.
against best night players rebounds seems stepped teams
It's always interesting when we have our coaches' meetings, and it seems that we play so many teams that had to have their best night against us. We've been getting everyone's best shot. But I thought when we had to have the stops, when we had to get the rebounds and when had to make the baskets, or players stepped up.
chance defense dug five hole ourselves picked position row seemed six win
It seemed like they scored four, five or six possessions in a row there where we couldn't get a stop. We put ourselves in a very big hole there, but I thought we picked our defense up and put ourselves back in a position where we had a chance to win the game. I thought we dug too big a hole.
basketball building climb mature next process seem shown signs step
Unfortunately we have shown signs of not being mature enough sometimes. To climb we always seem to have to take a little step back before we take the next jump. Sometimes that's part of the development process you go through when you're building basketball programs.
appears conscious credit effort felt formula playing political quality seems teams time top
There used to be a time when you felt there was a conscious effort to get the top teams. Now, it seems to be much more political than it used to be. It appears we we're not getting much credit for the quality of teams we're playing in ACC. There's a formula out there that seems to be flawed.
character game hung team test
The team kind of hung together. This is the kind of game that will test your character and your togetherness and your spirit.
ahead best quite room team
The thing that I like about this team is that we still are a team that has a lot of room for improvement. We are getting better in all areas. We're not quite there yet. But our best basketball, I think, is ahead of us.
chance continue fragile jump proven start window
I've been around long enough to know how fragile it can be. We need to continue to get better. We haven't proven anything yet ? not enough to start relaxing. We've got a chance ? a window of opportunity. We've got to jump through it.
conversation hug love support
Sometimes you don't really know what to say because conversation sometimes makes it worse. You just have to give a person a hug and tell him you love him, you support him and be there for them.
few guys record reflect
At the end of day, the record won't reflect guys weren't available, someone was sick. At the end of the year, we need to have a few more Ws.
absolutely particular
At this particular point, I don't have absolutely any say in the criteria. That's already been determined, and me making any speculation right now would be just that - speculation.
defended few game plays
Diaz and Hite were too much for us. When the game was on the line, I think they made a few more plays than we did. You have to give Diaz and Hite credit. They were defended about as well as you could defend them.
