California is a tough team and it was a tough few innings, but I think we just got lucky. We started hitting and they walked a few batters.
I'm so happy. I'm so excited. I don't know what to say.

I have faith in the boys. The man upstairs blessed us. The boys have talent and it shows. They are awesome players and good athletes.

When we say it's time for batting practice, they say, 'Oh, let's go!' When it's time for fielding practice, they start moaning.

I told them not to give the game away. I told them that if they wanted to win, go out and take and not give anything away.

I told these guys go out and have fun and do the same thing you've been doing from San Bernardino to now. That's all I can tell them is have fun because we came far and I can't believe we're even in the championship of the U.S.

It's elimination time and we were kind of tight. When the home run came it gave us a relief. That team is tough.

They were pumped up. They said we're not giving it away and they came back.
boys dream fire game guess hitting lit middle pitcher
It's a dream come true. In the middle of the game we weren't hitting their pitcher too well and I told the boys if you want it, go get it. I guess it lit the fire up again.

We're so happy. I don't know. We don't show it too much.

We both came out of San Bernardino (Calif.) so they kind of knew each other from there and they're friends. It's going to be good to play them. We kind of know them and they're a good team so we just have to be on our toes.

We knew we were in for a game. It's elimination time. But when the home run came, it kind of gave us some relief.

He closed his eyes and just swung. He got the good part of the bat on it, and it was a deep shot.
awesome catching mixing outside pitch velocity
He is just an awesome pitcher. He can really pitch ... the velocity he has, mixing his pitches. His outside pitch was really catching us.
