Turnovers. That's the name of the game. We know that no matter what happens out there on the field if we get a turnover they can't score. . . . But it's always the teams that are plus in the turnover ratio that go to the playoffs and hopefully have a chance to win.
You have to get fed up and that's what we did.
We don't worry about where we finished off last year as a defence because we didn't make the playoffs.
Our record could easily have been 10-6 instead of 6-10 last year if we had been a little tougher at the end of the games. But I think with his personality, his mentality, his approach to the game, we'll be more alert and have a little bit better mindset when the going gets tough.
That's what I expect out of myself. It wasn't fun, but I think I can tolerate a lot of pain. I went out there and made it happen.
I won a Super Bowl with Tebucky Jones,
If we need some dirty work to be done, I'll do the dirty work, ... We're going to keep him pretty so he can be back there making the plays.
For me, personally, I'm out there with one arm already, ... Now I lose somebody I depend on. But this is the NFL, and we expect the person that's behind him to be ready.
We lost one of our leaders. To fill that void is hard.
He is the MVP of our team, ... He's what made our team go. He's the stature of what the Patriots are all about. As long as we have him back there, we have a chance to score points. Without Troy, we would not be here.
Well, Troy's a politician. He's a veteran guy that can make plays and is a natural fit for that position.
You know he has it in him, but you don't know what you're going to get (from a guy making his first NFL start),
We definitely got served a little piece of humble pie. We weren't able to match their intensity. . . . For whatever reason we got beat in every phase of the game.
I know what it takes to win a championship, ... It doesn't take your leaders to be on the sidelines to get it done. So I made the sacrifice. ... I'm at the point in my career where opportunities are getting slim.
