The project will save energy, in that there is added insulation. New windows in the dispatch center also have cut energy costs.

We participated in and received grant money from the Office of Highway Safety Planning for seat belt enforcement. We received a grant for $2,000 to purchase equipment here. We also applied for an OHSP grant for youth alcohol enforcement. We're be participating in the program sometime in 2006.

We've upgraded our booking area and we've added security, with additional locks.

When deputy Ross Solberg returned from active duty in the military the board did not increase the budget, but we did not lay any officers off. Hopefully we're going to be able to fund that spot through our recreational patrols.

The remodeling includes upgrades that are in conjunction with 911, but they also benefit the sheriff's office. Now we have a new radio system. The remodeling and rearranging is a nice upgrade for our dispatch center.

My top deputies are making almost $37,000 (in regular salary). With overtime I've had deputies make approximately $50,000.
health insurance pay percentage receive retirement seniority sick vacation
They will receive their accrued seniority for vacation and sick leave, but they will have to pay in for a percentage of their retirement and they will not have retirement health insurance for their spouse.
asked benefits board considered county saying transfer understand
I asked that all the benefits to transfer over, but I was denied. The way I understand it, the county board is saying they are considered a new hire.
