cut extra fully guys importance lead maybe pass percent saw shot though three understand
Even though they shot over 60 percent in the first half, we still cut the lead to seven. But once we cut the lead to seven, it's like I never saw a pass after that. They always make the extra pass, sometimes two or three of them. We have a lot of young guys who maybe don't fully understand the importance of the little things.
ball crucial four free gave missed plays shot six straight three throws turned
We had four straight possessions. We called something and never got into any of them. Never got into any of the plays we were calling. We had crucial turnovers. We had a three-second , a missed dunk, turned the ball over, a charge. We gave them six straight free throws and had three possessions where we didn't get a shot up.
beat block create field free goal high line loose shots throw
We get beat on turnovers every night. We can't get to the free throw line as much as our opponent, we don't create turnovers or block shots (or) get loose balls. So that's the end result, we give up a lot of points, a high field goal percentage.
drive jump shot
Trevor, ... you haven't made a jump shot yet. Drive the ball!
ball except expressed guys heard last playing pleased seven shot stuff until
I don't think you guys ever heard me say I wasn't pleased with the way he was playing until the last game. Even with all the other stuff that's going on every other week, I've never said anything except I was pleased with the way he's been playing and way he's trying. The last game, he was not aggressive. He shot the ball seven times. He deferred. I expressed that. That's one game.
ball gave moved open road shots tempo
We moved the ball great, got a lot of open shots because we gave the ball up. Controlling the tempo on the road is the way we've got to play.
careless game selection shot sucked
We had some slippage. We were careless with the ball, our shot selection wasn't as great, but when the game was on the line, we got back and sucked it up.
open passing selfish shot taking
I told (Nate) it's just as selfish not taking an open shot as it is not passing the ball.
ball everybody gave great moved nicest open people playing quality road shots tempo together trying win
It's a quality win for us on the road. We moved the ball great and got a lot of open shots because we gave the ball up. Controlling the tempo on the road is the way we've got to play ... You look at the stat sheet, and the nicest thing for me is I feel like a lot of people are playing together and trying to make everybody better.
forgot good missed playing shots time
We started playing a little fast. We missed a lot of really good shots and I thought we got a little tight. We forgot time and score.
behind hard played points shots stuck time
They scored 30 points every quarter. They executed great. They made shots and we had a hard time guarding them all night. They played great, Calderon was great, he got everyone involved. We were stuck behind all night.
hard shots time
They executed great, made shots and we had a hard time guarding them all night.
ball case loose rarely shot turn
I think that's been the case all year. We don't take anything away defensively, we don't get loose balls, we don't get long rebounds. You rarely see us get a steal. And then we turn the ball over so many times without getting a shot and if you have any deficiencies at all on defense, you're getting killed in transition.
becomes confused easy shot
I think the three-pointer has merit, but I'm a little confused about the distance. I don't want it to be such an easy shot that it really becomes more important than anything, because I don't think that's the purpose.
