break good guard job points
Same old, same old - we can't guard anybody. We don't do a good job of getting back. They had 33 points on the break and could have had 100.
calls couple great job second tough
We did a great job in the second half. There were a couple tough calls down the stretch, but when you are down 25, you have to be perfect. We got close, but did not get it done.
against almost front good guard job keeping people plays script trouble
We can't guard anybody. We don't do a good job of getting back. We have trouble keeping people in front and it's almost like people script plays against us.
feeling great guys jobs knew lose mom thousand
It's a great feeling (that) my mom knew where I was one thousand nights. When you look at this league, at how many guys get jobs and lose jobs, you feel pretty lucky.
camp explaining felt guys hardest included job kids last outside ready showing talking telling terms training
Allan told me after I got the job one of the hardest things for him was the last two years he's kind of felt a little outside in terms of telling guys things he thought were obvious. He didn't feel like he was included as much. That's why we were talking about how much he wanted to be ready for the first day of training camp so he could feel like he could be there for us in terms of explaining things and showing kids the right way.
easy good guys help job knows players style team understand
You don't have players on the team that can't play a style that's comfortable for the coach. Isiah and I understand that. He knows the guys I like in the league. It's not easy to make trades. My job is to find out what these guys can do and if they can do the things we think will help us be a good team for the long run.
creates fact five games hurt jobs kids player struggled wondering
It is better than in the past, ... We all struggled sometimes, wondering what five games you're going to have a player miss. It could hurt you in some situations. I like the fact that you can keep 15 guys, because that creates more jobs and opportunities for young kids to get better.
job played tremendous
I think Tony's played him a lot. For the most part he did a tremendous job on him.
anywhere ball front good greater hustle job keeping took
He took the ball anywhere he wanted to. He made every hustle play and he got to the rim. We just didn't do a good job of keeping it in front of us, and his will was much greater than ours.
against coaching good hate honest job nba people playing pressure puts quality season speed step three
I really didn't know what to expect, to be honest with you. You hate to put three of them out there together, playing in an NBA season against quality teams. That puts a lot of pressure on them. But they're good kids, they want to get better. It's going to speed up their growth, so we have to have some other people step up and we have to do a better job coaching them. But they're getting better.
advantage far finding good great inside job open size tempo
(The Hornets) just did a great job of controlling the tempo and finding the open people. We had far too many turnovers and when we had an advantage with size inside we just didn't do a good job.
advantages against athletic caught playing score team tried
We tried to score too fast. Against an athletic team like them, that's tough. I thought we had advantages if we could go inside, but we just got caught up playing their tempo.
caught guard quick steve strong
We just want ballplayers. I don't get caught up in positions. I think Steve is strong enough to guard twos and quick enough to guard ones.
ball caught guard quick steve strong
We just want ball players. I don't get caught up in positions. I think Steve is strong enough to guard 2s and quick enough to guard 1s.
