bad beat good hat hit pitch slider stayed supposed tip today
Just one bad pitch. I tip my hat to J.T. because he hit a good 3-2 changeup. But my slider was not working well today and that's the pitch that beat me. It was supposed to be down to Feliz and it stayed up.

We are a resilient team. You've got to work through those things and come out ahead.

I thought I was through having to try to hit when I got traded.
balls good hacks hitting obviously problem selection spots taking throwing
I'm hitting my spots like I should be, but they're taking too good of hacks on balls that I'm throwing up there, so there's obviously a problem with the selection I'm taking with each batter.
baseball contract later million saying second signed week
If it wasn't me, someone else would have done it. They were saying the same thing when I signed for $2 million out of college. They were saying the same thing when I signed a $13.5 million contract after my second season. That's just the way baseball works. A week later you're the third- or fourth-highest because everyone else is getting more.
