atlantic beautiful begin best car cars champ commend delivery exciting february history luck prepare producing promises provide racing saw season series stars swift teams test true wish
We must commend Swift and all of the Atlantic series manufacturers on producing a superb racing machine. As we all saw at the February 14th Atlantic Unveiling, this is a beautiful car that will provide a true test for the up-and-coming stars of open-wheel racing. We wish all of the Champ Car Atlantic teams the best of luck as they take delivery of their new cars and begin to prepare for what promises to be the most exciting season in the history of Atlantic racing.
beach car chance comebacks drive finale fire jimmy maybe road san sure third
I'm not so sure Long Beach will be his finale at all. I think there's every chance he could drive a third car at some more rounds, such as maybe San Jose and Road America. He's still got the fire burning; Jimmy could end up making more comebacks than Cher.
great ruin
It was a great race, but they've managed to ruin it.
agreement good issue year
The issue is, everyone would agree, that it's a very, very good thing to do. It's not about getting an agreement to merge. It's about what we will have in year one, year two and year three.
both trying
We are both trying to find the right solution.
certainly champions couple enjoy expect letter meetings met occasions paris quite race
There is no letter of intent, and absolutely, completely no deal. We met in Paris at the Race of Champions and on a couple of occasions since, socially. Certainly I expect there will be more meetings in the future. I quite enjoy (George's) company.
And they won't be making one just for one year.
bridges build progress tony trying understanding
Tony and I have made a lot of progress in getting to know each other and understanding each other's viewpoints. We're trying to build bridges for the future.
believe comebacks contend drivers driving fact gave help history jimmy likely mentor option racing remains rolling wonderful
We gave Jimmy the option of driving not only to help mentor our two new drivers but because of his wonderful history in racing and the fact we believe he remains very competitive. I still contend it is likely Jimmy could make more comebacks than the Rolling Stones.
contract happens montreal surprise
It wouldn't surprise me if that happens in 2007 but we've got a contract with Montreal for 2006,
drape promise
One promise I had to make to Katherine was that I did not drape her over a car.
crowd regular road sunday turns
Nine-tenths of the crowd that turns out Sunday wouldn't go to a regular road race.
good partners repair since spirit teams
It's been 10 years since the split, and you're not going to repair that overnight. But we've got good teams and good partners and the spirit of willingness and cooperation, which is great.
adopted car champ circuit excitement improving maintain premier provide race racing series simple standing starts status street tight
It was a simple decision, really. The circuit was just too tight and we're improving it to maintain Long Beach's status as the premier street race in America. It will not only make for better racing this year, but will provide much more excitement when standing starts are adopted for the Champ Car World Series in the future.
