The National League is baseball to me.
I'm excited now, because we're blessed with a solid bullpen. It will be fun to watch these guys pitch everyday.
I like the trend. But there's no added pressure on us because of it. There's plenty of pressure in this profession, period - pressure to win, the pressure you put on yourself to perform.
It was nice to go out and throw an inning. It's been frustrating going on the DL three times with this injury and not knowing what the problem was. They will go in, clean it up and send me on my way.
(The knee) doesn't really bother me that much. I don't want to get into July or August, field a bunt and now I'm out for the rest (of the season).
It was a different scenario to come into the middle of an inning. It's different warming up in the bullpen. I need to stay loose and make sure to be ready to go in the game when they call me.
Everything felt good. It's different, but you still warm up, get loose and try to get guys out.
Things were going real well and they still are going well with my shoulder. It was better than I expected. A month ago I wasn't looking to be where I was at. It (the knee) is what it is. I don't know really what happened and how it came about. It just kind of gradually got more sore and sore.
I don't even have a date when I'm going to get on the mound and throw.
Obviously when you can't contribute the way you want to and you miss extended periods of time, you feel like you didn't help the other 24 guys out there.
It seems like about 15 years ago. The last couple years have been kind of rough. It's all behind me now. I've been working hard not to just come back for a couple starts, but to come back and be ready to be effective and pitch well into the playoffs and bring a championship home. I'm looking forward to getting back.
It's been pretty boring. But I'm sure it's going to pick up in a little while.
They're not fixing anything. They're taking a piece out. We're not in danger.
It's nice to get a hitter in there, just to have something in the box. I'm pleased with the way things are going. Today was another step. We got some hitters in there, and we're just progressing.
