best boys defense fun program since soccer start
Our defense has really been outstanding and fun to watch. This is the best start that the boys' soccer program has had since I've been here.

We played really well for this being the first game of the year. I am pleasantly surprised. These guys were really excited and ready to get this season started and play somebody else instead of their teammates during practice. They came out and did not play into any bad habits. It was a pretty strong performance for a full 40 minutes.

Marshall came out and played hard like they always do. I thought we controlled the ball most of the game. They had two good chances at scoring a goal. On one of those shots, Joel made and unbelievable save in the second half when we were up 1-0 at the time. One of their kids hit a shot as Joel was moving to his left. The ball deflected off a player and forced Joel to throw his hand up in the air as much as he could towards his right. He just got a hand on the ball and deflected the ball up over the cross bar. It was one of the best saves I've seen Joel make in his career.

We played another solid defensive game and we passed the ball pretty well. Fatima played a very defensive style of setup having just two kids mainly play on the attack. Most of them were shelled in the box, but for the most part we were successful getting the ball where we wanted it.

Adrian has an excellent touch and a powerful shot on the ball. He has adjusted himself to our style of play quite well and will add a lot of dimension to this team.
bond fun group guys matter players team together unique work
This is a unique team in that all these guys like everybody. They really bond together very well and work very well together, no matter which 11 players are on the field. They were in-sync tonight. It's fun for me to be around a group of guys like this.
