When it comes to racial issues, I'm very passionate about young girls just loving who they are in their own skin. Because I remember going to an all-white school and being the only black girl in an all-white school, think - looking around me, thinking there's no one else here that looks like me.
I went to a predominantly white school, and I was the only black girl. I can remember thinking, 'I don't want to be as dark as I am - I want to be a little fairer.' I didn't want to be me.
I remember I went through a period where I didn't embrace my 'chocolatiness.' I don't know if that's a word, but I didn't embrace my chocolate lifestyle. Just being a chocolate, lovely brown skin girl and being proud of that.
I actually started singing in church when I was about five years old. I remember looking at the choirs and just hearing all of those great big beautiful voices. And there was this one woman who could just wail. And I remember trying to sing like her when I was like going home.
Right now, this is definitely the final tour and the final album. We have made a decision, ... And, maybe, we might wake up 10 years from now and we might want to do an album. Or we might wake up three years or five years from now and say, 'Y'all feel like doing another album?' What people don't realize is that we are still only 24 or 25 years old.
For right now, it really is the end, ... Hopefully in 10 years we'll all be married and have babies.
I was really surprised to see my name on the Hermann Trophy watch list, ... I am excited. It is such a prestigious award and I hope I can live up to the expectations of being associated with that group of players.
I did live over in the U.K. for a while, so I guess I'm just naturally a Brit at heart.

We have so many funny moments, like bringing guys up in different cities during 'Cater 2 U. There's a performance with myself and Nelly. We let you backstage, like right before we go up the lift. We wanted everybody to be able to see what goes on behind the scenes.
I made a stamp with Destiny's Child. We made a stamp together, above anything. And making a stamp on my own, I'm very proud.
