It was very important that some of us stepped up tonight. If you stick to the systems, you can beat any team in this league. My theory is they shut it down in the second period.

Before, I was just chipping (the puck) in and trying to chase it down myself. Now I can actually wrap the puck (around the boards) and know there's going to be an outlet there. I know where the puck is going after I wrap it. Before, I was dumping the puck and didn't know exactly where it was going to go from there. Now we're all on the same page, and I know exactly where it's going to go.

I thought the girls performed really well, and I'm pleased with all of them. Haylea Martin finished fourth, and that's probably the best she's placed at the County meet. Sam Crosby was sixth, and she made her way up from fourteenth. I'm really proud of both of them.
