bring brought energy great key turn
I thought it was a great game. I thought we brought great energy. When we bring energy we can play with anyone, but the key is that we can't turn it on and off, we have to have it on all the time.
confidence create scoring start turned
When we really turned it on defensively and rebounded it really does create more confidence and we start scoring more.
against bring good practice team turn whether
And that's what we want, whether we're in practice against each other or we're in a game. I don't think any team is good enough to say 'Now we're going to turn it on.' You just have to bring it everyday.
figure goes learn turn
Hopefully, we learn how to turn things around when something goes wrong. We need to make the adjustments. As a coach, I need to be able to figure that out and we need to be ready.
figure five game inside looked minutes none strange took turn
In the first five minutes of the game we looked great. Then it took a strange turn and none of us could really figure out how it happened. Their inside game really killed us.
coaching game home last liked staff
We're excited. We really liked it last year, it was beautiful. It's a home game in a way, but it isn't in another way. The coaching staff is approaching it as it is a home game, and we don't have to travel.
happy respond smart
We're not happy with this game, we're pretty down about it right now. I think we think things are going to go our way and when they don't we don't respond well. We may not be as big as some of those teams, but we are smart and we know how to play smart defense, but we didn't do that tonight.
coming commit foul hit knew open ourselves shooter until
We knew who their shooter was and we didn't even let her hit a 3 until the very end. Our thought coming in was, 'Don't even let her get an open 3.' We commit ourselves to a lot of pressure, but let's not foul when we're doing it.
beat coaching concerned maine staff tradition year
I still think Maine is very good. I just think the new coaching staff up there is going through that whole first year thing. I'm not too concerned for Maine, they have the tradition and nothing can beat tradition.
bit boards control great hit lead offensive run shot took
I thought we had a great run where we took control of the game. I think there was a little bit of a let down when you have a lead at the half, but you have that sometimes. You always like to have a lot of shot attempts, and we hit the offensive boards really well, which is always good.
gave momentum second shot
I thought the shot at the buzzer was big for Katie. Not only for the team, but it gave her momentum like, 'Oh I can do that every time,' which, in the second half, I thought she did.
good
I think we had a very good season. We accomplished a lot of things.
begins chance defense easy gave great played rebounds tough
I think we played great defense and that gave us a chance to get a lot of wide-open shots. We got a lot of tough rebounds, a lot of long rebounds and that gave us a chance to get some easy buckets. When you can get the easy shots, everything else just begins to click.
erase feeling game guts hampshire mad mentally ourselves slip tough winning
I think we just get so mad when we feel that we have let a game slip through our fingers. We like to think of ourselves as a mentally tough team. Winning at Albany doesn't erase the feeling in our guts after the New Hampshire loss. Now we need to win again.
