This is where I feel confident in the group of kids we have playing. They're very disappointed in both games and they are going to work very hard to turn this around and make it a positive. As disappointed as Shelby is at not being able to go with us this weekend, I think she fully understands we need her to get healed up. If it means missing the first couple games in order to be ready for the rest of the season, she's ready to do that.

I think the biggest factor in that game was that we had three errors that led directly to runs being scored. They were on routine plays and errors on routine plays happen, and it's just unfortunate and it was a situation where we needed to keep the score at three. If you put extra runners on, the possibility is there it is going to bite you and it bit hard tonight.

It was just a good, solid effort all around, in the second game especially. We needed this. We needed to put up wins back to back and have consecutive good efforts and we did that.

She's really grown into a very reliable defensive player, first and foremost, but she will come up with as many two-strike hits as anybody else we have on the team.

We want to get better each time out. We have a really good chance at a successful spring break. We play some tough competition and if we can keep playing at this level, especially defensively, we can do that.
