On offense, it's important for us to have good cuts and a lot of movement off the ball. Once we catch the ball, we have to be very strong with it. Quick guys usually have quick hands and step in the passing lanes.

We've had a lot of nervous energy going on. We've been itching to get our hands on a ball and finally get out on this court, the one we've seen in our locker room for four years now. It's just really amazing to get out there and see what it's like.

It's good to play another team we haven't seen yet. Lawrence has a lot of talent. To be No. 1, you have to beat the best teams.

He does everything well. He always wants to get better. That's the sign of a good player. Coming in as a freshman, he was really talented and now he's a much better player because of all the work he's put in.
