center champions field front mickey people realized reminds stadium step steps stick took worry yankee
He reminds me to not worry and to stick things out. His first at-bat was in Yankee Stadium in front of 60,000 people with Mickey Mantle in center field and he had to step out of the batter's box. But he realized those same champions took the same first steps that he was taking.
feels hitting love mental physical state
Basically, I love the sport. It's the combination of physical explosion, running, focusing, hitting a zone.... The mental state on a sled feels awesome.
anyone athletics bad deal handle life problems situation win
It's all about how you handle it and I think that's part of being an elite-level athlete. Anyone in life has problems that they deal with in situations. It's all about your mentality. That's how you win this sport. When a bad situation comes up or when you make a mistake, you've got to handle it smoothly.
crazy full great season surprises team tim
It is unfortunate that Tim will not be with us, and it would be great to have him there. But this season has been full of surprises and crazy situations. It is nothing that our team can't handle.
forget fourth limit man ourselves people team third
Our team has been through the wringer. And people forget that we've got a man who's third in the world, another man who's fourth in the world and me who was fourth in the world. If we all get medals, fantastic. But we don't limit ourselves by any expectations.
coolest
This is the coolest thing in the world.
coming tour understood
He just wanted to let me know that he was potentially not coming on tour with me. He understood that I didn't want to get involved.
best continue counts focusing race throughout
We've been through a lot. I'm going to continue as I have throughout the season, doing the best I can and focusing on the one race that counts in February.
plenty season third
I know I could have been on that podium. But I'll take it. My first Olympics, my third season ever in the sport. I'm 21 years old. I've got plenty of time.
sexy licking hammers
It's fine to be sexy, but you can be sexy without licking a hammer!
attention pay losing-yourself
If you lose yourself, then no one's going to respect or pay attention to anything you have.
baseball attitude real
There is a double-standard between men and women. My father was a major league baseball player, and I grew up thinking I could have the same attitude on the field that he did. When I did that in real life, people thought I was a total bi-atch.
growing-up kids men
I always challenged men, in foot races or whatever as a kid growing up, because it was a way of pushing myself and challenging myself against the best - but you have to know and accept that men are born with testosterone. You can beat them for so long, but eventually they'll catch up.
sweet thinking skeletons
The key to skeleton is to find the line, and I think I spend most of training figuring out where that sweet spot is...
