I'm real, and that what you see is what you get with me. I want people to know that I'm just Julianne. I'm not somebody that needs to be put up on a pedestal.
I think if you alienate people and just focus on your work then it just becomes lonely and it's not fun anymore.
I may not be as active in it as some people are, but I think that the church has taught me great life lessons.
I've been acting my whole life, which people don't realize. I just haven't had the opportunities that I've had with my dancing.
I'm really loving acting. I want this as a career. I'll still write music and collaborate with people, but I'm focused on the acting path.
I think there are always gonna be challenges and people throwing themselves at you in a nondiscreet way. But it's just so public now that you have to be careful saying hi or giving somebody a hug, because then somebody will turn it into something else.
I'm one of those people that loves to try everything.
Acting is like free therapy! Trying to make people laugh or cry can be inspiring.
Everybody loves music and it's fun - you feel like you're not working out. It makes the time go by quick and you're having fun and, especially if you take a class, there's the energy of other people and you're laughing.
I've experienced a lot for someone my age that a lot of people will be able to relate to.
Well, I was in the generation of CDs, so when I moved to L.A., I think I probably brought my Shania Twain 'Come on Over' CD and that's about it.
I totally think there was a country hair phase. If you look at all the mullets, and Dolly Parton, and Reba's hair, Tim McGraw's hair, Blake Shelton's hair, they definitely had their moments.
It's the oddest match: Mary J. Blige and Julianne Hough! But we became so close.
My go-to prebikini flat-ab move is the plank, all different types.
