Every actor wants to win an Oscar, full stop. It doesn't mean you try to design things around how to accomplish that because that's impossible.
It's an exceptional time, and it's always the happiest time if you can be really present and doing the things that you want to be doing and surrounding yourself with the people you love. So, yeah, I'm in a good spot right now.
I want to go someplace where I can marvel at something.
You can be true to the character all you want but you've got to go home with yourself.
I want my kids to know when I'm pissed, when I'm happy and when I'm confounded,

To have her come over to me and say, 'I thought you were great in that movie,' I want to say, 'Well, I just want to drool all over you. Can I?',
This is freaky. If this was a prom, this would be like the best school ever to go to.
During my out-of-body experience, I didn't acknowledge her, shamefully, ... With great humility, I acknowledge her profusely. She is the center of the universe which is our movie. She knows the esteem in which I hold her.
Magic to me is you make a movie and it's all great and it clicks, and at the end of the day you feel like you're having an experience that is positive and that you're learning from.
