draft learned picks
Having all of our draft picks is something that I've learned to like.
drafting fit players system trying
Monte's been here and had his system in place for some time, ... It's a one-gap scheme, and they've been drafting players that fit it. We're trying to do that on offense.
draft expect football himself practice
You can't come in as a seventh-round draft choice, or any kind of draft choice, never practice and expect to make this football team. It's too bad, but he's got to get himself back out here in a hurry.
brought draft judged pair perform pick shoes whether win
You're going to be judged whether you're brought in for a pair of turf shoes or for a draft pick to perform and win games.
cadillac couple deny drafted fact felt good looked michael mike practice productive smart takes williams
We feel like he did get a lot of reps on the practice field, we feel like we did play him extensively in the first couple games, ... He's a good back. Hopefully, he catches on with another team. You can't deny the fact that No. 33 (Graham) has looked very good here. We drafted Cadillac Williams , Michael Pittman has been a productive back here, Derek Watson is still in the mix, so when you couple that with the fact that Mike Alstott is also going to play the tailback position, we felt it was good for Ian Smart to look elsewhere. Hopefully, someone else takes a look at him.
choices develop drafts five good guys helps job program second seven six string team
It helps if you have a string of five or six or seven good drafts to develop a team. It helps when you have your draft choices on your team and in your program because guys do get better. Heck, I got better at my job in my second year.
couple draft hard help last players team wire worked
Not necessarily. We really worked hard on the draft the last couple years, being a part of it, so we know a lot of the players that are on the waiver wire from our research, ... And we know a lot about our players that didn't make this team also. Not necessarily, but familiarity can help you, you bet, when it's close.
draft guys hard risk situation
I don't know, I'd have to really look hard into the situation there. It's always a risk when you draft anybody. Some guys more than others.
ask bigger excited loves thrives tim tried
We tried to get him and Tim involved, because the bigger the game, the bigger he plays. He was excited and thrives in this atmosphere. He loves the big games. The more you ask of him, the more he relishes.
ball beat expect intercept line month pay played week
We just played them a month ago. We beat them 10-3 and we had to intercept the ball on the 1-yard line to do it. If there's a letdown this week then we'll pay for it. I don't expect that to happen.
glimpse guys
We got our first glimpse of what these guys can do wire-to-wire.
expect
We expect Kenyatta to be here, and that's all I can say.
advantage depth evaluation last players sure
We're going to try to see if the front-line players are front-line players. We also want to look at the depth of our roster to make sure that we take advantage of the last evaluation for a lot of these guys. We're going to try to do it all in this game.
areas cleaned eliminate football help hopefully job move negative obviously plays schedule score team week win
The schedule doesn't get any easier, ... Our job is to do everything we can to help him. His job is obviously to make plays and move this football team and help us score and win games, and eliminate turnovers, negative plays, sacks. Those are areas that must be cleaned up in a hurry. And he'll be the quarterback this week again. Hopefully he can do that.
