hands rider tough year
Year and year out, Rider has a tough team. We're going to have our hands full.
guys improved mean wins younger
It's not a one-shot deal. Just because one of our younger guys wins a match, it doesn't mean we improved - but we also didn't regress.
again team wrestle
Once again this is a team we don't know too much about. We're just going to go out there and wrestle aggressively.
decision future lost match mike neither nor season
I had to make a decision about a match or a kid's future in wrestling. If he wrestled, we could have lost him for the season and I know neither Mike nor I wanted that.
came forth intensity point raised reached turning
It was a back and forth match-up. D'Amico came through for us. I wouldn't say that we reached a turning point after that win, but we raised our intensity level.
along decisions guys heads instinct mistakes start using win wrestling
I want our young guys to keep wrestling aggressively. They just have to start minimizing their mistakes and using their heads along with instinct to make the right decisions and win the match.
against coaching concerned entertainment fine gaining individual kids match meets win work
As a coaching staff, we're going to be doing more individual work this semester. The dual meets are fine and we want to win them, but I'm more concerned about getting our kids into the tournaments. Dual meets are preparation and entertainment and like our match against Brown, we'll use them for gaining experience.
continue improve individual results team work
We have to continue to improve individually. If that results in a team win, then that's great, but if not we have to just continue to work on the individual level.
best exposed good needed potential
Well, he didn't have a good tournament. We think he has potential for All-American and he needed to be exposed to the best competition.
feeding formula tough
Being young is getting pretty tough for us. If we were any younger, we'd be feeding formula to these kids.
changed guys point season younger
At that point in the season, we were equal. At this point in the season our lineup has changed a bit. We have more younger guys in the lineup.
improving keeps matches realize ryan starting steps takes time win
Ryan is starting to realize what it takes to win matches at this level. He keeps on improving every time he steps on the mat.
commitment dealing internal kids resolve trying
Right now we're dealing with some internal issues. We need to resolve them and try to keep working and keep trying to get a commitment from the kids that we have.
above close difference injuries lost meet pivotal record winning won
Right now we're a meet above the .500 mark. The difference between a 7-6 and 10-3 record is one kid. Every meet we've won or lost has come down to at least one pivotal match. With our injuries and other problems, we're just not winning close matches.
