We're definitely excited for our season to start. Everybody's itching to get outside and get some games in. We would like to get outside and get more practice in, but the weather just hasn't been nice enough yet. The ground is still frozen, which makes doing anything other than shagging down fly balls pretty hard. Hopefully when we head to Colorado, we'll have nice weather. We're all definitely looking forward to the trip.

We tried to stay with them. We got to their first couple of pitchers pretty well and had some chances to score more runs.
against bat games good start swinging today
We got some games in today against good competition. Our fielding was good. We just need to start swinging the bat a little better.
conference help level players schedule tough twelve
We have had a tough schedule these first twelve games, with the level of play we've seen. That's only going to help us get better and be better players come conference time.

She pitched well. She's a dominant pitcher. Basically we couldn't make any solid contact.

Morris threw very hard and it took us a while to try and catch up to her. Their hitting was better than ours today, but defensively, we played much better than we did in Colorado and that was encouraging to me.
It was one of those things where everything just snowballed on (Martin Luther).

When we did hit the ball, we hit it right at them. They didn't make a lot of errors and they threw the ball well.

What it came down to is that we executed early. We were hitting the ball well but right at them. We could have had more runs, but we kept plugging away.

When you're not getting base-runners, it makes for a long day in the field at times. I thought Kim and Jen each pitched well, they didn't walk a bunch of hitters. Valley City hit the ball really well. We're looking at trying to get better and playing these teams will help us do that.

We didn't take advantage of the opportunities we had today. We had the bases loaded a couple of times and couldn't buy a hit. This whole weekend, we left our bats in Aberdeen.

Kim pitched well. They started to getting to her later in the game, and we had an error in the third inning. If we can get out of the inning without an error, we give up maybe a couple runs instead of five.
competition conference help impressed level stop
What impressed me most is that we didn't stop competing. When we play the level of competition that we do, it's important for us to keep competing. That's only going to help us when we come to conference play.
against defense helped ladies luther martin solid today win
Our defense was much better today than it was against Bethany Lutheran on Wednesday. I told the ladies we'd have to play better defense because Martin Luther is a solid team, and we did. I think that helped us win as well.
