Why do we hear such everlasting negative talk! People all imagine they'll be giving something away if they recognize the least bit of merit.
Every individual who is not creative has a negative, narrow, exclusive taste and succeeds in depriving creative being of its energy and life.
I curse all negative purism that tells me not to use a word from another language that either expresses something that my own language cannot or does that in a more delicate manner.
A well-bred carriage is difficult to imitate; for in strictness it is negative, and it implies a long-continued previous training.

Beware of dissipating your powers; strive constantly to concentrate them. Genius thinks it can do whatever it sees others doing, but it is sure to repent every ill-judged outlay.
The soul is indestructible and its activity will continue through eternity.
