It seems when something needs to happen, he seems to be at the start of it or the end of it.
He's still getting back to where he needs to be. He needs to feel good about his command, because Moose is more about finesse than power.
He has gradually relaxed and he doesn't look before he steps now. Whatever needs to have the attention paid to, he's right there.
He doesn't need a day off, Cairo needs a day to play. If you're going to do it, you may as well find a guy that's been tough on left-handers.
He comes with a lot of confidence and yet a lot of awareness on what needs to be done. He's going to emerge as one of the leaders to go along with the others we have in the lineup, because he's taken to being in New York with great ease.
I said I thought the umpire was quick on the trigger but I thought you snapped. I also told him I certainly don't want to take that emotion from him. I don't want him out there worried about what he's going to say or do. Hopefully, I'll get to him before it happens again. I never want to take his passion away from him because I think he needs it to pitch.
What we need is length out of our starting pitchers. Moose probably needs another start or two before he gets there. El Duque is still developing arm strength. The one thing we've always stressed here during our success is the role of the starting pitchers. That's where it all begins for us.
I don't think he feels he needs to take a day off. It's not too bad; it's well enough for him to DH.
He's not overpowering, so he needs to locate a lot better than he did last night and than he's done lately, ... But you know he's not going to wilt from the pressure, which is a plus. He just needs to be a little more consistent.
Boomer is ... Boomer. That pretty much tells you all you need to know
I'm very comfortable working with Brian and I certainly hope that they find a way to get it done.
In games that Alex does not contribute with his bat, he's helped us win ballgames, so I think that should be part of the equation. I think it's a part David doesn't have.
(In) Game 6, the way he came into Yankee Stadium and pretty much dominated us - that's a memory that will be hard to lose. That had to be one of the most pressure outings you'll ever see in that situation.
I know the players were all happy for him because for a long time, he really wasn't getting it done, and they knew how hard he was working. So I'm just very pleased for him.
