I'm very pleased the way we played and the way we've been playing hard all year long. We try to press for a full 32 minutes every game, and I have a group committed to doing that.

It could've been prettier, but the state tournament is all about surviving and advancing. We're going to the next round but we're going to have to play better as the tournament progresses or we won't be in it for long.

I don't think we were ready to play on Wednesday (SLC semifinals). The emotion of the moment wouldn't allow it. We were ready tonight. We just came out and played great basketball.

To do it at the same school is really special in this day and age. 400 says a lot about longevity but it also points out that we've had a lot of success here and have had a lot of great players at Morgan.

We were a long shot to get to Central. We just didn't play well in the two tournament games. We didn't execute the way we did all season long. I don't know if we ran out of gas. But I'm not going to make excuses.

We definitely wanted to try and stop her (Coffee). She is one of the best players in the conference and I thought Doolittle did a great job guarding her tonight.

They've been a great team prior to the tragedy but since then they've bonded closer together. I've won a lot of these but this is a special one. This is as good as it gets.

There was no talk of payback. I have a lot of respect for Don and his kids. They were the better team last year. We were the better team this year.

I think Ed and I made a good team because he wasn't a yes man for me and I wasn't a yes man for him. If I did something that he didn't agree with, he'd tell me. Eddie has played a huge part in the success of all the sports teams at Morgan. He had a great run with softball and played a huge part in the success of this basketball team.

Kara was a huge factor for us. I can't ask anything more of a freshman point guard. We ran clear outs for her, we asked her to run stuff we haven't run all year and she got us into sets and made good decisions with the basketball tonight.
gym knowing nobody replace town walking
He's done so much for the town of Clinton. Nobody will be able to replace the guy. It's not the same going into the gym and knowing he's not walking through the door.

I figured it meant a lot to her. I wish I could do more but it's all I got at this point.
