He taught me to be a better receiver, a more comfortable receiver. He taught me how to throw better. I changed my whole throwing once I met him. We talked in depth about handling pitchers, pitch selection. Any phase of the game he was involved in making me better.
accuracy arm gets keeps quicker strength throwing
His arm strength and accuracy ... he will get better as he keeps going. His footwork and throwing will get quicker as he gets more confidence.
ball camp chance continue evaluate goes great happy people possible throwing time
For the most part, I was pretty happy with what I saw. He's got a great chance at being one of the starters. As time goes on, we'll continue to evaluate all the people we have in camp as possible starters. He's throwing the ball well.

Too many 2-0 counts. But he kept us in the game.
innings season setting start
We just need to get a lot of innings in for a lot of people. We'll start setting up for the season after this round.
difficult game hit runners ugly win
It was an ugly game for us. We didn't pitch, we didn't play defense, we didn't hit with runners on. It's difficult to win a game like that.

The solo (homer) doesn't kill you in the second inning. It's the home run in the third that really hurts. Howard beat him today.
bottom picked pile protect ran series sixth thinking trying won
I started thinking about it in the sixth inning. At the end of the game, I ran out and picked him up. I was trying to protect him. I had been on the bottom of the pile when we won the World Series in 1996, and it wasn't much fun.
game keeps
Is it unfair? In a sense, yes. But I think we all know why we're doing it that way, and that's part of what makes this game tick. It's what keeps salaries up.
forecast forecasts matters mean nature press rain reading
I've been reading press clippings about what I can do and what I couldn't do for a long time. That's just the nature of the business. ... Forecasts are forecasts. It's forecast to rain today, probably, but that doesn't mean it's going to. What matters is what we think about ourselves.
advantage best hard manager somebody work
It would be hard to say you have an advantage over anyone. The idea of a manager is to get the most out of your players, and everyone does it differently. I'm just doing it the best way I know how. That doesn't give me an advantage over somebody else. This is just my method. It may not work for other guys.
coaches great last league major month opportunity spring timing tournament wish
It would have been a great opportunity. I just wish the timing was different. I don't think major league coaches can be part of this tournament because it could last the whole month of March, when we're in spring training.
opposite sure
The Yankees, usually they have one of the 25-man roster they're not sure who they're taking. We have like two that we know we're taking. It's about as opposite as it can be.
