Why this would happen to us? I don't know. We've had three tough losses and a total of five tough losses. I wouldn't want a different group to coach. These are the guys I like. It's up to us, and we're going to see what's going to happen down the road.

It's what I lean on. Any time I feel down, like we all do, I think about that. Hey, this is where I'm supposed to be. There's a confidence knowing that God has put you here, and it's a matter of you living this, doing the best you can, working the hardest you can, trying to make it happen. Whether it's going to happen or not, we don't know.

They rushed the football on us, ... We don't like anybody doing that. It kind of has been something that's happened to us a little bit here recently.

You're always nervous about (losing Taylor). It would be real struggle for us (without him). I know what Sean says happened and what his group says happened. I think he is concerned about it and I think he felt like there is not much he can do about it now. He's kind of put it in other people's hands. You look a guy that big and that mature-looking and (you forget that) he's really young. He was real cooperative, much more open and friendly last year, and I think he had a heck of a year. I think he genuinely thought about (skipping the 2005 off-season workout program) and won't make some of those mistakes.

This is something that is extremely hard, ... You don't like doing this. I don't. Sometimes you don't chart the circumstances or what happens - it just happens. Certainly it wasn't the plan I had going in, but sometimes plans change, and I think you do the best you can in dealing with it.

Just doing his part, ... He doesn't have to do more than that, you know. Direct it and get us points, but just do his part. I think one thing about Patrick is he's a real good student. I think he's smart. When you put the game plan in he has a feel for what we're doing there, so he only has to do his part. He doesn't have to make something happen by himself.

I think in that game it was total domination all the way across the board. I don't know what else to say about it. Everybody who watched it would probably say the same thing. It can happen to anybody in this league, but I also think they're very, very good. We'll be a little nervous about playing them because they kind of overwhelmed us that first time.

We looked at everything that happened in the preseason, ... and let all of our players look at it and try to learn from it. We're taking a different approach on some of those things now in practice, and, film-wise, we're trying to put a real emphasis on penalties. And somehow we've got to get it across to ourselves on the turnovers, too, because that just kills you.

We wish the last two years had been smoother. We wish there had been no injuries. We wish he could have played more and played back to the standard where he wanted to be. I know he was totally frustrated by it.
