There was a little bit of wind in the middle of the round, but otherwise the conditions were fine. For the most part, it was pretty calm and I just played fairly steady. I hit a lot of fairways and greens. I didn't try to do anything fancy.

I just got off to a shaky start this year. Most of my career, I basically relied on hitting the ball fairly well. When you don't, the panic flag can go up a little bit. I made a lot of cuts, but I haven't played particularly well. It's such a fine line out here. It can drive you nuts sometimes. You've got to work through it and keep practicing.

We had opportunities to score runs early, but we didn't do it. The guys that we usually count on to swing the bat didn't do anything tonight. Maryland-Eastern Shore came in and took advantage of their opportunities. They did what they had to do. We have to play better than we did tonight.

When we scheduled these games, we thought we were going to have mid-week starters. If I had known we'd be this thin with our pitching staff, I wouldn't have scheduled these games.

It will be more like linebackers than most of us look like now. That's the trend anyway, better athletes playing golf.

It was good to see some fight out of our team. We waited until the last inning to fight. We just have to come out here, keep playing and hope we get better.

We're going to get there. We're just not playing with any confidence right now. We got to get better and the only way we are going to get better is to keep playing.

They really bounced back and scored some runs. I'm just glad we got a W out of it. We'll take them any kind of way we can get them right now.

Abercrombie kept us off balance early but we had our chances. This is a young ball club and we knew we were going to take our lumps here early.

I just had to slap myself because this had to just be a bad dream. I just can't believe it.

He (Austin) just missed his spot and it got out over the plate. With a big kid like that, he (Jimenez) just got around on it.
