cars chance enjoy happy races victory winning
I'm happy for Chad, especially because he hasn't had a chance to enjoy Victory Lane. His cars have been winning races but he was, unfortunately, at home.
car early finish good great handling hooked team took
It was a good day. It started off bad. The car just wasn't handling right early on and it took us a while to get hooked up. It's not the finish we wanted, but the team did a great job.
carolina fans talk
It's a place where Clemson and Carolina and Furman fans can all talk without getting into a fight. And no one is cussing.
car changed rear track wearing
We were competitive at one point, ... I just feel like the car was abusive and we were wearing the right rear out. And then again, the track changed some more, or something changed and got away from us and we couldn't keep up with it.
car great guys inside loose top
We were inside the top 10 for most of the day. We were doing a great job, and the guys made a lot of adjustments and did a lot of work. But just there at the end we couldn't keep up with the track, or the car got loose for some reason.
car chance change felt flat great race
We didn't change a thing for this week. In our opinion, we didn't really have a chance to race at Bristol. We'd had a great practice, and felt like we had a great car -- and then we started the race with a flat tire.
ahead block brian came car caution dead lane loose moved outside saw sideways throughout
I was working with Brian throughout the race. His car was probably the only one that was really loose out there. That thing was dead sideways at times. Once I got to his outside, I saw the outside lane coming. I moved up to block it and got ahead of him right when the caution came out.
again anyone car certainly drivers exciting gets great headed last plane race vegas visit wants year
Anyone who gets on a plane headed to Vegas wants to win. Race car drivers are no different. It's an exciting place to visit and a great place to race and an even better place to win. We did that last year and would certainly like to do it again this weekend.
car found guys happy pick pleased worked
I'm very pleased with it. The guys went back and worked on the car and found some things to pick up some speed. So I am very happy with that.
area asking came car charlotte encourage meeting owners questions stock
He started asking questions about stock car racing. Once he came to the Charlotte area and started meeting the owners and stuff, I couldn't encourage him enough to make the move.
cars chief comments crew defensive hard team thrown view worked
I kind of view it as jealousy, and he doesn't have a crew chief in there working hard enough to make his cars as good. This team has worked too hard to even have those kind of comments thrown at them, and I'm going to be very defensive over it.
accept areas came car chief crew drive gray hard looked mind team work worked
The drivers, we just get in and drive the cars. I do know that the team and crew chief are going to work as hard as they can to work the gray areas, and with that in mind gray areas were looked at and worked over and when the car came back the template didn't fit. So, Chad, the team, myself will accept what happened.
car guy trying
The No. 20 (Matt Kenseth) broke the pace car speed, which you aren't supposed to, but, they aren't calling guys on that so I need to start trying that in the future.
team winning careers
The Daytona 500 is a career-winning race. It defines careers for drivers, crew members, crew chiefs and race teams. It has that power.
