consistent hoped kids number season stride totally unexpected
I think I've said it all along, this season isn't totally unexpected to me. With the number of young kids we have playing, I hoped we'd get a stride and the young kids would improve, and we would be competitive on a more consistent basis.
beginning dug minutes ourselves quarter second stretch
At the end of the day, we had a stretch of 12 minutes from the end of the first quarter to the beginning of the second quarter where we didn't execute. We dug ourselves a hole, and we couldn't get out.
growing kids maturing older playing
Like we hoped, the young kids are great, and the older kids are playing well. It's a growing and maturing process.
faced kid threw
We threw a kid out there who hasn't faced off all year, and he battled.
elements handle
We didn't handle the elements as well as Loyola did.
best fighting four kept played playing tough
It's tough, we're playing our best lacrosse. We went to a tough place to play, and we battled. We played for four quarters, we kept fighting to get back in.
almost certainly tired tough trip turn
It was a tough trip on Saturday, and we had to turn around with almost no preparation time. We were tired and banged up, and it was certainly a challenging scenario.
capable step took
We didn't play they way we were capable of, and we took a step backwards.
advantages bit chances half second tired
We didn't take advantages of the chances in the second half to put it away. We got a little bit tired and a little bit sloppy.
bad certainly decisions early handle patient pressure shots took
I think that we made some bad decisions early on and took some shots we shouldn't have taken. Loyola is certainly very patient offensively and they took us out of what we wanted to do and we didn't handle their pressure well early on.
dominant kids
The kids really responded. We were really dominant in the first half.
advantage definitely mistakes took
I really give St. John's credit. They're a young team, and they definitely took advantage of our mistakes.
