ball hold moved points score shame team turned
We turned it over way too many times. It's a shame we didn't score more points. If you hold a team to 17 points you should win. We moved the ball well, we just didn't score enough.
asked count crowd deal flipped heads home noise scoreboard silent team
I look up at the scoreboard and there are signs, 'Let's Go Giants'. The referees, when they flipped the coin, they asked us if we wanted heads or tails. They had no idea who the home team was and who was away. The crowd noise we had to deal with, we never had to do a silent count at home.
ball blocked directly eliminate field goal led played score shame turn
When you turn the ball over for a touchdown, when you have a blocked field goal for a touchdown and an interception that directly led to a score -- we have to eliminate those mistakes. It is a shame because I thought we played well enough to win.
ball deep gave holding matter next planned poor return reverse score span three
In a matter of three series, we had a poor planned kickoff, and they get the ball at midfield. They go deep for a big play the next play. They score a touchdown. They kickoff to us, on the return we get a holding penalty. We get the ball out on a reverse and we fumble. In a matter of a five-minute span we gave up 17 points, really 21 points.
defense good left offense played score stunk word
If you want to use the word we stunk on defense and we played probably good enough on offense but we still had opportunities to score more points. But we left them on the field.
agree full giving happen players
The players know how I feel, and I think they agree with me. If (quitting and not giving full effort) does happen with one or two players, we'll get them out of here.
answered phone wife
The phone rang, and my wife answered it. She said Scott was on the phone, and she kind of mumbled a (last) name. I said, 'Tell him I'm not home.
improve
There are a lot of things we can improve on,
against ball chance football hold played win
When you hold the ball for 36 minutes, you have the chance to win football games. We played like we wanted to play (against Buffalo). That's how we played against Carolina.
call chicken
The play at the end, the call by the officials, is flat-out chicken (. . .),
bad cut few last played traveling weeks
We've got to cut those things out. Let's not make excuses. Us traveling the last few weeks really don't have anything to do with our play on the field. We've played bad the last two weeks.
close equal felt football issue money obviously order team trade value
We thought that Darren's value to this football team was a lot, ... It was just a money issue at the time, and in order to trade Darren we wanted equal value. The only team that was even close was Dallas. But obviously we felt it wasn't equal value what they wanted to offer.
bad dropped field five missed worse
We had 13 penalties, five turnovers, two missed field goals, dropped balls, missed tackles and bad coverage. It doesn't get any worse than that.
question
The question with him is if he can block.
