bob credit deserved foreign hard incredible machine outside scoring seen took
Elvin Hayes was such an incredible scorer that it was hard for me to believe, ... I had seen Bob Pettit do it to some degree, he was 6-foot-9, but Elvin Hayes took it to a different level. He was a scoring machine who went outside at 6-foot-9 and that was so foreign to what we knew. He never really got the credit he deserved for what he accomplished.
coming credit good passing score trying
I give him some credit for coming in, passing the ball, not trying to score right way, rebounding. He was doing good things.

ball credit gets leader louisville offense people runner sure time worked
I think a lot of credit has to go to Louisville when you have a leader out. I'm not sure how well our offense would have been if we didn't have Marcus Williams. Marcus is not the scorer, but he is the runner of the team. He gets the ball to the right people in the right time at the right spots. They didn't have that tonight. They worked like crazy.
anybody ask
I never ask anybody anything. I told him he better go out and be much more assertive. And he was magnificent.
In basketball, sometimes those things happen. We kind of overwhelmed them.
came far held player point remember
In all my years of coaching, I can't remember a player who came as far as he did at that point of his career. He should be held up as an example.
harder scores talent work
I know what it's like to be A) at another level, and B) overwhelmed with talent. Tonight, it didn't come easy. ... We had to work harder than we have had to work recently. Sometimes scores can be very deceptive.
both given matching mixing nature planned unless
I'm mixing and matching both those things, ... Given my nature, unless I had planned that this would be the summation of everything, then I'm going to keep going on with my job.
imagined
It's something they probably never imagined. We've imagined it, and we've done it. They could never have imagined it.
joy
It's something they probably couldn't have imagined. There is joy in Fairfield County, I'm sure.
Every one of those threes were like daggers.
praised stuck
Everyone praised us, ... It was, 'They stuck around.'
