I think President Bush and Secretary Powell are doing their best, but there must be some bridge to break the impasse. We must prioritize getting the release of the American soldiers who are, in fact, being held hostage.

You have a young African-American taking some food from a grocery store after their home was ruined by a flood and it's called looting. A white person is taking food from a grocery store and it's called finding bread and soda.
The governor does not stand to gain from this matter being delayed. I've met with governors who are hostile and defensive and demagogic. He was none of that.
The good news is, she is a tough person and she is going to survive this.
