communication dialogue frustrated lack strong
We're a strong union, but we are frustrated with the lack of communication, the lack dialogue and negotiation by the NHL,
ability afraid confidence failure
We have no confidence in our ability and no confidence that we are doing it right. We just made too many mistakes. We are afraid of failure and doing something wrong.
awesome great guy pleasantly surprised team time
Our team has been awesome, ... I've been very pleasantly surprised at how awesome every guy in our locker-room is. I've just had a great time with these guys.
deal favorable gives leeway owners
I think the owners got a deal very favorable to them, ... It gives them leeway to do more than they should be able to do with our salaries.
game hard last night poised ready shows team
Last night was really deflating. For us to come back with an energy-filled game shows that this team is ready and poised for a lot of hard work. It's really gratifying.
everybody game guys hard jealous tried
I say personally, to everybody who called us 'spoiled,' you guys are just jealous . . . we have tried so, so hard to get this game back on the ice.
groove oh starting
Just when I was starting to get into a groove and getting things in the right place, this happens. But, oh well, what are you going to do?

against circus counteract defend half hitchcock jacques ken last line office red sitting system systems trying work year
I think it's going to be a circus for them. I know Ken Hitchcock was sitting in his office for the last year and a half trying to come up with a system to defend against the no red line (two-line pass). So look for him to come up with something. I know in Minnesota, Jacques is trying to do the same thing. It's interesting to see what's going to work. We're going to have to work in a lot of systems to try to counteract no red line.
circus
I think it's going to be a circus for them,
against cups fact guys holding last played player points usa
I think they were holding the fact I haven't played in the last two World Cups against me. I'm a lot better player than my points indicate. I'm one of the guys that have (got) the USA to where it is today.
arenas easier fans free game hear knowing lower money owners paying people players prices sit stuff taking ticket watch
The owners can sit there and do giveaways and lower ticket prices to get the fans back to the game knowing that what they are really doing is taking it out of our pockets, ... It's important to get people back into the arenas to watch hockey, but it is a lot easier to do when (the owners) know they still get money back because they are taking it out of our paycheck. In essence, the players are paying for all the giveaways and free stuff that the owners are doing. Which is all well and good, but you don't hear about it.
playing work
Playing with Cammalleri and Frolov, I have to work a little harder, ... They're speedy.
